WORK HARDER TO WIN MORE AND HIGHER TROPHIES, DR. OBI CHARGES MPR SPORTS CONTINGENTS

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources (MPR), Dr. Emeka Vitalis Obi, mni, has charged the Ministry’s Sports Contingents to intensify their efforts in order to win more and higher trophies in future editions of the monthly keep-fit and aerobics exercise organized by the Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA).

Dr. Obi gave this encouragement on Saturday, 26th July, 2025, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, while addressing members of the MPR Sports Team who participated in the July edition of the exercise and clinched third place in the Best Behaved Team category.

Speaking after the exercise, the Permanent Secretary noted that the third-place finish is a strong indication of the team’s potential to secure even greater achievements in subsequent outings. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the contingent and the Ministry’s broader sporting initiatives whenever the need arises.

Dr. Obi also commended the impressive turnout of Management and Staff at the event, describing it as a reflection of the Ministry’s commitment to wellness and teamwork. He emphasized that a healthy, vibrant, and active workforce remains one of the most valuable assets of any organization.

The monthly walking/jogging and aerobics exercise was organised by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF) in collaboration with FEPSGA and is open to all staff of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) across the Federal Civil Service.
