Update on Inter-Ministerial Committee on Host Community Development Trust Fund

 

The Federal Government has inaugurated an Inter-Ministerial Committee to strengthen coordination and enhance compliance in the implementation of Host Community Development Programme.

The inauguration, which took place recently in Abuja, was presided over by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Patience N. Oyekunle, and her counterpart in the Ministry of Regional Development, Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Ada Ogbe.

The Committee was established strictly as a collaborative and advisory body and is mandated to facilitate coordination and promote effective information sharing among stakeholders in line with Presidential directives.

Membership of the Committee are drawn from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
