Engr. Kamoru Oladimeji Busari

Engr. Kamoru Oladimeji Busari, FNSE was born on 21st October, 1965. He had his Primary education between 1970 and 1976. He attended Ife Anglican Grammar School, Ile – Ife, Osun State Nigeria from 1976 – 1981. He then proceeded to the University of Lagos where he obtained a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemical Engineering in 1987. His undying quest for knowledge spurred him to obtain Masters in Energy and Environmental Economics from ENI-Corporate University, Italy in 1993. He has also attended several training courses both in Nigeria and abroad.

He was appointed into the Federal Civil Service as Research Officer II GL 08 on 8th June, 1990. He grew in the Federal Service to the post of Director GL 17 on 1stJanuary, 2017. Presently, he is a Director and Head of the Upstream Department of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources where he has been assisting the Ministry in fulfillment its mandate to formulate Policies, supervise their Implementation and regulate the Nigeria oil and gas (Energy) Industry in the Upstream sector. Engr. Busari has previously served as Technical Assistant Administration to the Honorable Minister of Petroleum Resources in 2010 and as Director overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources from September – December 2019.

A COREN Registered Engineer, and Fellow, Nigeria Society of Engineers (FNSE), he is also a member of many professional bodies.
He is happily married with children.
