Lara Adewumi-Audu is the Head of Procurement Department, Ministry of Petroleum and Resources. She had her first Degree from Ahmadu Bello University, where she studied Geology in1999. She then proceeded to the University of Maiduguri to obtain Post-Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management.
In her quest for knowledge, she proceeded to the United Kingdom, for her Masters programme in Strategic Procurement at the University of South Wales. Her inquest did not stop there, she went further to obtain a Doctorate degree (PhD) in Public Procurement. Her research work looked at Public Procurement Policy in Nigeria: Value for Money in Public Procurement.
In addition to her academic qualifications, she had a Diploma with the Higher Education Academy of the United Kingdom; a further Diploma in Project Management, University of South Wales.
Lara is a member of various Academic Bodies and they include: The United Kingdom British Academy of Management (BAM); the Chattered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), UK; the UK Higher Education Academy (AEA); the Association of Public Procurement Practitioners of Nigeria (APPPN).
She has served as an Hydrogeologist and as a Procurement Officer with the Nigeria Government. Due to her outstanding research works, she was requested to give her service through lecturing in the Leadership and Management department of the University of South Wales as well as Students Supervisor in the United Kingdom.
Lara is happily married with beautiful children.
