The Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE) unit is responsible for the formulation and administration of policies in the Oil and Gas sector as it relates to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment.

Midstream Departments is saddled with the responsibility of supervising the midstream activities in the Nigerian oil and gas industry.

The Department of Procurement is one of the Common Service Departments in the Ministry. The Procurement Department has two sections namely; Capital and Recurrent, responsible for the procurement of goods, works and services to the Ministry.

The Press and Public Relations Unit is a statutory arm of the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
