The University of Calabar in Cross River State was agog over the weekend as the Honourable Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas) Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Environmental Pollution and Toxicology from the Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology, on Saturday, 22nd March, 2025.
The convocation ceremony was attended by the crème de la crème of the Nigerian Society and the Oil and Gas Industry among whom are: President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Honourable Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Oil) Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri Ph.D; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Amb. Nicholas Agbo Ella; Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Mele Kyari; Some Directors in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, and Chief Executive Officers of the Agencies under the supervision of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
