Fatherly love showcased at the MPR “Love Feast”.

The MPR Love Feast organised by the Department of Human Resources Management took place at Bukkies Park and Garden, Jahi  District,  Abuja.

The feast to mark the end of the year brought together the Permanent Secretary, Management, Staff and some retired Staff of the Ministry under one umbrella to wine and dine.

In his thank you message, the Permanent Secretary MPR; Amb. Nicholas Agbo Ella appreciated the Management and members of staff of the Ministry for standing by him especially during the bid for the hosting right of the Headquarters Building of African Energy Bank (AEB) in Abuja.

He pointed out that winning  the hosting right of the Bank by Nigeria was a great achievement of the Ministry that will inject over Five Billion Dollars into the entire economy of the Nation.

Amb. Ella described the Management and Staff of the Ministry as “Unsung Heros” because of their efforts in the successful execution of the just concluded 8th edition of the National Council on Hydrocarbons that took place in Asaba, Delta State; among other accomplishments of the Ministry.

Delivering her welcome address, the Director of Human Resources Management, Mrs. Adaji Asma’u Shehu stated that the feast was a well  thought out initiative of the Permanent Secretary aimed at promoting the dignity of Labour, enhance the mental and physical well-being of Staff geared towards achieving high productivity in official engagements and mandates.

The highpoint of the event was the “Fatherly presentation” of two Motorized Wheelchairs to two members of staff of the Ministry living with disabilities, namely; Prince Sunday Ifejirika of Human Resources Department and Malam Rabiu Yusuf Idris of Stock Verification Unit by the Permanent Secretary.

Prince Sunday Ifejirika also used the opportunity to present a copy of his book to the Permanent Secretary.
