In order to carry out the implementation of Performance Management System (PMS) that will facilitate the development of an accountability – driven, result oriented, high Performance and meritocracy culture in Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Permanent Secretary, Amb. Gabriel T. Aduda, on Friday; 18th August, 2023 in his office signed Performance Contract (PC) with some Directors in the Ministry.
Speaking at the event, Aduda enjoined the Directors to work assiduously to deliver effectively on the Contract as it will provide a template for effective Monitoring, Performance Reporting and Feedback Mechanism.

The Permanent Secretary assured that efforts are on going aimed at full Digitalization of the Ministry. The Digitalization he stated will bring about less paper work and Automation of work flow in line with the vision of Head of the Civil service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan and global best practices.

Earlier in her remarks, Director of Human Resources Management (MPR) Mrs. Adaji Asma’u Shehu thanked the Permanent Secretary for his unwavering efforts at institutionalizing the New Performance Management System in the Ministry.
Performance Contract (PC) is a formal documentation that clearly states mutually agreed responsibilities and targets between the Appraiser (Supervisor) and Appraisee (Supervisee)


Directors who signed Performance Contract with the Permanent Secretary are : Director of Human Resources Management, Mrs. Adaji Asma’u Shehu, Director of Accounts and Finance, Danjuma Muhammad Sanusi, Director of Internal Audit, Mrs. Warren B. Augusta, and Director of Special Duties, Amaefula Dilobi Martins, represented by Principal Stock Verifier, Mrs. Ekaette Isaiah Sunday.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by some of the Ministry’s Performance Management System Champions.
High point of the ceremony was the official presentation of the Ministry’s Performance Management System Champions to the Permanent Secretary.
